Hitachi Systems Trusted Cyber Management was founded and incorporated as Cumulus Systems, Inc. in 2006. In 2012, Hitachi Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd, acquired Cumulus Systems, Inc. After the acquisition, Cumulus Systems became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Systems.

In 2022, Cumulus Systems, Inc. was reorganized and renamed to Hitachi Systems Trusted Cyber Management, Inc. Hitachi Systems Security, Inc., a Hitachi Systems subsidiary focused on managed security services, became a subsidiary of the company. This reorganization strengthened managed services for global markets and business expansion, including managed security services and advanced performance analytics services.

Hitachi Systems Trusted Cyber Management is headquartered in Santa Clara, CA with offices in Pune, Bengaluru and New Delhi in India.

Hitachi Systems Security is headquartered in Montréal, Canada.
